Prepared a policy paper on how the provisions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Johannesburg Action Plan (2016-2018) responds to environmental goals and targets of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 First Ten-Year Implementation Plan. The paper finds that while the FOCAC Johannesburg Summit outcomes are not fully in line with these goals and targets, the outcomes nevertheless provide a solid basis for supporting the achievement of the Agenda 2063’s environmental provisions. The study was commissioned by WWF South Africa and conducted in March 2016.
